Before the coaching with Rachpal, I had an idea of what were my strengths and weaknesses however it was only after the sessions and assessments that I gained clarity. After the coaching sessions I was able to clearly articulate what motivated me and what type of work and environment I would enjoy. I really got grounded and accepted myself for the things I didn’t do so well. Also, the suggestions offered to address my gaps were very helpful.
Somethings I learnt by watching Rachpal’s behaviours – like resiliency, not being afraid to take risks, changing direction if something didn’t work, thinking outside the box, her ability to juggle and learning to say no.
One quality of Rachpal as a coach that I most value is, Honesty. She was real, authentic and sometimes blunt when she shared and gave feedback. It thought me a thing about self confidence and self esteem.
Her self confidence and positive body image showed me the importance of cultivating the right mental attitude which has made me realise how much I was beating up myself.
The most important thing as a good coach is, she practised what she preached. She led by example and showed that she understand the pain points of being in transition and the fear of uncertainty such a period brings.
I felt she connected with me on that level.
