I first wrote about this a year and a half ago and I thought it would be a good time to revisit the topic on Procrastination as I hear so many people around talking about it. They don’t use the work procrastination but say things like, “I started…and I haven’t go down to finishing it” or “I’ve got this project I started, and…… I wish I had the time to finish it.” So has anything changed on my end?
Truth is little has changed. I’ve still got many projects that I’m working on and I’m still busy, busy, busy.
MAJOR CONFESSION!!! I am busy, busy , busy all day. If you put a webcam in my study, you will find me glued to my lap-top from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. I’ll be typing away. I’ll be reading. I’ll be scribbling some notes on my recycled notepad. I’ll be reaching out to a book and flipping through the pages and then typing, typing, typing. (I STILL DO THAT.)
But on a positive not, I’ve learnt to let go perfection and accept that whatever I have done, is prefect for now.
The TRUTH is I am not doing much – I LOOK busy but I am not doing the work I intended to do. Once again I am procrastinating – forget finishing a task – I’m not even starting as I want everything to be PERFECT before i even begin!
So dear ladies, is PERFECTION, once again, getting in your way?
